A Beautiful collection of Wild Turkey Tail Feathers. Hand wrapped with earth dyed material- sewn on the back of each feather to hide sinew wrapping. Further dressed out with white plumes, dots and red horse hair.
Side drops from earth dyed material along with 2 ermine hides with hawk bells for eyes.
The back of headdress has a large hand beaded Star Rosette.

* While making this headdress one could not resist admiring the beauty of Mother Nature in the tail feathers.
So Bold yet So Gentle!
As it made my heart sing while making this piece - it reminded me of a “Courtship”, not only among turkeys but people as well. How we (at times) do our best to “catch the other one’s eye”.
I’m hoping this piece catches someone’s eye for them in their lives.
